Students will be introduced to the world of commercial interior design with a focus on Restaurant and Hotels. Students will learn about the ergonomics and theory’s behind both spaces with a focus on materials and specifications. Students additionally will have a showroom visit in this course.

Requirements

Residential 1, 2, AutoCad 1 or/& SketchUp 1 from The Designers’ Studio or equivalent (contact us to check).

Materials

Scale ruler, tracing paper, graph paper, double sided tape, metal ruler, Stanley knife, scissors, glue, A4 white paper, A2 foam board

Internship & Work

The Designers’ Studio runs an active Internship Programme whereby we collaborate with several interior design companies and showrooms such as Pottery Barn, Ethan Allen, Crate and Barrel to name a few. The end goal of our training is to secure work in the industry for our graduates and we actively facilitate this. Work shadowing is organised for top students during holiday breaks. Great care is taken to match the student’s aspirations and abilities with a suitable practice.
